TUKUM – Bando de criação
Tucum is a very common palm tree in the Amazon, which has become a symbol of friendship, loving pacts and also resistance in the struggle for freedom. The tucum wire is extremely resistant and can hardly be broken. This is the symbol of Brazilian popular culture chosen to name this trio that was born, spontaneously, after a long run through the four corners of the country. Formed by three friends, the “Tukum - Bando de criação” is a young trio from the state of São Paulo composed by Bruno Olivieri and Luísa Pitta, from Rio de Janeiro, and Flávio Cardoso, from Paraná. The first one is a musician, composer, actor and clown; Flávio is a singer, actor and juggler; she is a singer, actress, dancer and choreographer. A nomadic and multi-artistic group (scene, sound and movement) in the form of a band, which vibrates in the interplay and musical spontaneity.
In January 2019, the group has launched their first single named “Space Gypsy”, followed by the videoclip. After a while with lots of trips around Brazil where the trio visited a bunch of cities with a mobile theater, the inspiration for the songs has come and the album is going to be launched throughout 2020. The first single, in January 2020, was “Knot”, which was launched with the videoclip that explores the theatrical and poetic versatility of the group. From then on, about 30/45 days, a new song will be launched in the digital platforms, always followed by a videoclip, until the seven original songs that form the album 22 Days on Foot has been completed.
