Saints of Valory make driving, melodic alternative rock marked by huge guitars and passionate vocals. The band have been signed to Atlantic Records, supported rock royalty like The Rolling Stones and Imagine Dragons in the live setting, and played globally popular festivals such as Coachella. In 2018 they released their debut album, Bleeding Rainbows.
Hailing from several different countries, some members of Saints of Valory first met as music-obsessed boys years before forming their adulthood band. Vocalist/bassist Gavin Jasper met guitarist Godfrey Thomson in Jasper's native home of Rio de Janeiro while Thomson and his parents were visiting. The two boys practiced guitar and dreamed of being famous musicians, keeping in touch as they grew up in different locales. In 2008 the friends reunited with French drummer Gerard Labou to form Saints of Valory. After some initial interest from record labels, the trio relocated to the Texas home of friend Stephen Buckle to practice for upcoming showcases. Buckle eventually joined on as permanent keyboardist as the group gained momentum and toured more frequently.
In late 2010, the band released their debut EP, The Bright Lights, following up just over a year later with their second EP, KIDS. They signed with Atlantic Records in 2012 and worked with The White Stripes producer Joe Chiccarelli on their 2013 EP Possibilities. That year, the group also gained some buzz for their cover of New Zealand pop star 's "Royals." V EP arrived in 2014, Sleepless EP in 2017, and finally in 2018, Saints of Valory's debut full-length, Bleeding Rainbows, was released. From there, they shared the singles "Headheartmind" in 2018 and "Winter Lights in 2023." ~ TiVo Staff
