Cortney’s music has been featured on playlists including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music's editorial playlists including ‘New Music Friday’, ‘Proper Belters’, ‘Transistor’, ’That Indie Girl’, 'Best New Bands', 'Breakthrough UK' amongst others.
Cortney's distinct sound draws influences from the likes of PJ Harvey, HAIM and Blondie. It’s alt-pop powered by her love of indie-rock. Big, fuzzed-up, guitar-driven bangers showcase her high-flying vocals with a heady mix of stories about love, angst and growing up in a working class Northern town. Cortney produces her stunning and innovative imagery with fellow creative genius, Rob Irish. With little funds but boundless creativity, they deliver powerful DIY artwork and videography to rival high budget productions.
