BIO
Tomaka is a French singer, songwriter and producer.
His musical approach is shaped by the cultures of the countries he has lived in — the UK, Spain, and Germany — which have helped forge his artistic identity. Drawing on pop, rock and electronic textures, he blends synthesizers with acoustic elements to craft a sound that is true to himself.
A sonic explorer, Tomaka plays instruments such as the acoustic piano, the Arabic flute (ney) and the zurna, and sometimes incorporates audio snippets captured on the fly from the streets or nature.
A pivotal moment came in 2018 when he withdrew to the countryside for a month, writing a song a day. This transformative experience laid the groundwork for his solo work. Videos also play a central role in his creative process, reflecting both the narrative depth and atmosphere of each track.
Tomaka's debut single, Time to Go, launched the Tomaka project in 2020, followed by four more singles.
