Joseph Edgar, an Acadian artist from Moncton, settled in Montreal in 2012, after starting his career with the legendary band Zéro °Celsius, and then releasing four solo albums from Acadie. Inspired by his new neighbourhood and the characters who inhabit it, the singer-songwriter unveiled in 2014 a fifth solo album, Gazebo, including the song «Espionne Russe». This song propelled its author to a first position on the French-language digital sales list for more than two months in addition to a music video that now has more than 6.5 million views on YouTube. In addition to Joseph’s catchy music, the Quebec public discovered his talents as a cartoonist and his great creativity. Two years later, the album Ricochets («Braises d’été», «Tout ce que j’ai pu dire») surprises with a mixture of refined textures, a more fleshy sound and well-assumed pop trends, produced by André Papanicolaou. In 2019, after having travelled the roads of the country and Europe, 15 years after the release of his 1st solo album, La lune comprendra, he launches his 7th opus, 2004-2019 Point Picot, bringing together the best moments of his career, including new songs or never released on a physical medium, new releases and live versions of success that paved the path of the artist. The Covid-19 pandemic abruptly ends the tour but allows the artist to compose Peut-être un rêve, a 5-track mini-album, influenced by current themes and different musical styles that create and modulate the unique sound of Joseph Edgar. In the spring of 2021 comes Peut-être un rêve II, another EP created in friendship with his acolytes Jocelyn Gagné, Sunny Duval, Jonathan Lafrance and Jeanne Buisson-Latulippe, with the collaboration of sound magicians Ryan Battistuzzi. Alex Pépin and Benoit Bouchard.
