Born in La Habana, Cuba, Roberto Kel Torres is one of the most outstanding artists of danceable and romantic music genres.
Since childhood Kel had his profession very clear. At 3 years old he started singing songs in his father’s performances and since then they still remain at singing stages.
He is born during the hardest and scarcest periods in Cuba, where clothing was a luxury almost unreachable and sugar water replaced a few meals. During this era Kel identified his passion for music as a way of making money to survive thru life.
Made in the University of Art in La Habana, Kel shares his voice in various bands of Latin music during his adolescent years.
At age 17 he starts his professional career in the National Opera of Cuba, where he inherits a firm and solid formation for his musical growth.
For four years he learns the constant discipline required for the work, he educates his voice and sings in international tours like Germany, Austria and Spain among other countries.
In 2003 Kel joins Havana Nights show. An unrepeatable and unforgettable pleasant experience that expands his experience as a singer and betters and brightens his projection on stage.
With Habana Night Show Kel does tour to United States and Europe. Kel grows working with a multitude of artists and music professionals like the grand music teacher Kenny Ortega.
Although he has always sang sounds of Latin pop and classics, romantic ballads and deep contemporary influences, Kel defines himself as a “free” artist.
Roberto Kel Torres has resides in Berlin since 10 years ago and all these years he sings in all of Europe.
Concert arenas, private parties and stadiums have heard his talented voice. He also has appeared in different Television shows of Germany, Spain, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Ukraine, Azerbaiyan, England, United States, etc.
A book reader, athlete and polyglot, his work of art includes Spanish, English, German, Italian and Russian work.
The prestigious international TV Show “New Wave” places Kel in the map of the Russian market.
Kel is the winner of the 2013 Edition, the show is emitted in all Russian countries reaching spectator views of over two million spectators.
After the single album release that contains the songs “Baila”, “Amor en punta de los dedos” (Dance, Love at the tip of our fingers) (Russian) and “Armenia” in 2017 Roberto Kel Torres launches his most personal work of art “Different”.
“Different” is an album in which he fuses stiles and contemporary with music of different decades, creating a new timeless sound. 15 unpublished songs that includes two Spanish and two Italian versions.
