Bzhezhinska has redefined the role of the harp in contemporary music. A composer, bandleader and collaborator, she worked alongside legendary artists including Brian Jackson, Chaka Khan, Shabaka Hutchings, DJ Spinna and Slide Johnson, performing across international stages. Her HipHarpCollective was named Best Ensemble of the Year at the 2024 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, following the success of Reflections (BBE Music), a critically acclaimed double LP awarded Best Album of the Year 2023 by Presto Music. As a solo artist, her duet project with Tony Kofi was described as āa masterpieceā by Downbeat Magazine.
Beyond her own releasesāInspiration (Ubuntu Music, 2018), Reflections (BBE Music, 2022) and Altera Vita (BBE, 2024)āBzhezhinska has contributed to Shabaka Hutchings' Afrikan Culture (Impulse!) and Ganavyaās Forgive Me Mine (Native Rebel Recordings, 2024). A compelling live performer, she has graced some of the worldās most renowned venues and festivals, including WOMADelaide, EFG London Jazz Festival, Edinburgh International Festival, Paris Jazz Festival, Royal Albert Hall and Ronnie Scottās Jazz Club.
