Robmar Albin Marrero St’Rose is a self-taught musician, composer and singer of Cuban origin, born on December 18, 1986 in the city of Camagüey, Cuba.
His main musical reference was his father, since in most of their encounters, music was what they shared the most. His father, a doctor by profession, devoted much of his free time to music, playing the guitar and singing, generally, traditional Cuban songs.
With the aim of being able to surprise his father in his passion for music, and achieve his admiration, at the age of 11 he began to discover and delve into the musicality of an old guitar that he borrowed from a childhood friend and with it he manages to write small prose pieces that, over time, became his first musical compositions.
While going through this experience, he discovers his true vocation as a composer, singer and musician, but his parents encourage him to pursue other careers.
He graduated from the technical and professional career of Civil Construction, and upon entering the university to begin the career of Civil Engineering, he chose to change to a career of Letters beginning his studies in the career of Socio-Cultural Studies (Social Communication) since He felt that, somehow, it would bring him closer to his musical and communicational world.
However, without abandoning his most intimate dream of being able to dedicate himself to music, during his adolescence he was part of several bands with a role of singer and composer of some lyrics and music in "Puros Cubanos" and "Cosa Fuerte", and managed to record in Cuba various materials independently.
In the beginning he specialized in urban music: reggaeton, hip hop, R&B, etc. But then, getting into the cadences of different genres, he began to fuse his harmonies and his compositions were encompassing new musical genres: ballads, funk, pop and trova.
At 21 he decides to follow his real vocation, leaves his place of origin and travels to Havana in search of being able to achieve his dream and fulfill himself as an artist.
With his guitar in hand and with his voice, he found himself in the field of traditional Cuban music and began to troop on the wall of the Havana seawall for tourists, thus being able to earn a living. This is how he is discovered by a Traditional Sextet which he integrates as a singer and with which he manages to work in a traditional bar in Old Havana, located in Obispo, called "La Lluvia de Oro".
During his stay in Havana, he intends to expand his musical knowledge and perfect his voice and his ability to compose with his guitar, for which he decides to take intensive courses on music appreciation and composition at the National School of Art (ENA).
While he was passing his 25 years, fate leads him to disembark in Argentina and thus begins to spread his work in different places and to contact musicians of different genres who contribute to expanding his musical knowledge, thus improving his musicality and way of composing.
In his beginnings in Buenos Aires, he participated mainly as a singer in a traditional Cuban music band until he decided to disassociate himself to be able to dedicate all of his time in putting together his own musical project in order to promote songs of his authorship.
Since then, Albin St 'Rose composes, plays guitar, sings and performs independently, accompanied by other excellent musicians who are outstanding in percussion and wind.
