Scherzo, whose real name is Christian Vunabandi, is a French artist, singer-songwriter and rapper of Congolese origin. Wanting to learn music science and related management, he chose to continue his studies at Berklee College of Music in the United States.
In 2019, Scherzo released the first official single of his career titled 'Démocratique', a politically engaged song asserting a critical stance on a world reality. He then associated with several local artists, in particular Gaz Fabilouss, and released multiple singles which allowed him to become more known as an active figure on the Kinshasa music scene.
On January 8, 2021 appears "Saint-Graal", his first EP containing 5 tracks including 'PDG' a track that Trace Africa describes as ''a gangsta atmosphere on a jerky melody '' Scherzo thus increases his notoriety and becomes known through showcases and appearances but also by playing as an opening act for Ninho.
Having a habit of writing alone and often late at night, Scherzo's music often reflects an introspective mood while maintaining a light or playful character in its compositions. This is how he was able to offer titles like "Trap Symphonie", or "Vos prières sont sans effets".
