HISTORY
Exhaust was founded in 1981 as a student rock band. In 1983, the band professionally recorded INTERCEPTOR and STRONG SAXONS OF THE NORTH – the resulting single landed on the sales charts. In 1985, FULFILLMENT OF A TALE and THE KING WILL COME received national radio airplay. For years, Exhaust toured successfully through clubs and stages – until disaster struck: in 1988, a fire destroyed the entire rehearsal space and equipment. It seemed like the end...
THEN
But Exhaust returned. Since 1996, the band has been back in action – now focusing mainly on studio production. In 2015, the album SECRET OF THE SANDS was released, supported by radio interviews, press coverage, and CD sales via Media Markt, Saturn, and Expert stores. Follow-up albums RIDE ON FROZEN GROUND (2018) and FLAME OF BURNING FIRE (2020) kept the fire burning. In 2023, IMPERIAL TRANS-ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION arrived – a concept album about Shackleton’s legendary voyage.
TODAY
The 5th studio album HAVOC ON THE SEA has been live since November 2024 – and its successor is already on the horizon. With new songs like MOSQUITO FLIGHT, KINGS OF THE CANOPY and MARCH OF THE ELEPHANTS in the works, there’s much more to come. Stay tuned. Stay loud.
