The Wong Janice is an Amsterdam-based cellist helping millions of people feel grounded and calm through the power of deep ambient cello meditation music, sounding somewhere in between Zoë Keating, Hildur Guðnadóttir and David Darling.
In 2019 her solo cello meditation project was born which brought her to performances at TEDxAmsterdam and festivals such as Amsterdam Dance Event and Down The Rabbit Hole where she performed a mass meditation with RY X and Michelle de Bruijn.
In collaboration with meditation app Insight Timer, she released ‘Chakra Cleansing with Deep Cello’, a 10-day online course to help you break free from emotional blockages through the power of sound, which has more than 10,000 students.
The Wong Janice has more than 8 million streams on Spotify. Her solo albums and piano/cello pop covers with Benny Martin have been well received on Spotify algorithmic playlists and Jiro’s Stories, an EP with Victor Butzelaar and ‘Through The Valley (from The Last of Us Part II)’ a Shawn James cover and Winter's Lament with Sacha Hoedemaker were selected for the Classical New Releases playlist on Spotify.
