A Lesotho born multi-talented musician (saxophonist, Pianist, Djembe drummer and Marimbist), DJ and self-taught Producer 9umba is young upcoming star. He has worked extremely hard to get his name among the Amapiano Greats such as DJ Maphorisa, KabzaDeSmall, JosiahDeDisciple etc. He started his career in 2015 as a rapper and as time progressed, he moved through different genres finally landing on Amapiano. He grew up listening to RnB, soul, reggae, soukouss, salsa and Sotho music.
Letlotlo-la-Bakuena is currently studying Bcom Business Management at the University of Pretoria.
In 2020, 9umba produced two of the biggest songs in South Africa called VSOP and uLazi. 9umba produced uLazi alone and co-produced VSOP along side Busta929 while adding his wonderful Saxophone sound to the song with his famously known vocal melody "Iwe Mama weya he".
