Christophe Monier is an electronic music composer, producer, and DJ who lives and works in Paris.
A pioneer of house and techno in France, he co-produced the first record released by the country’s first techno label in 1989, and co-founded the first French fanzine dedicated to these genres in 1992.
Recognition came initially from the UK and then from the rest of the world, thanks to his projects Impulsion and The Micronauts, praised by influential publications such as NME, Melody Maker, The Face, i-D, Interview, Urb, and Muzik.
His track “Get Funky Get Down” was the first ever to be remixed by Daft Punk. Meanwhile, major artists like Madonna, Neneh Cherry, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, The Chemical Brothers, and Underworld asked Monier to remix one of their songs.
Constantly navigating trends and movements, he continues his musical exploration today through his label Micronautics, collabs with other artists, and his own compositions.
