Pau Riba Romeva was a Spanish singer, songwriter, and author from Palma de Mallorca. In 1967, Riba formed the Grup de Folk and released the single “Taxista”. Riba released the double album Diòptria in two parts between 1969 and 1970, which included a critique of bourgeois society. In 1975, Riba performed the song “Licors” at the Canet Rock festival and released the album Electròccid àccid alquimístic xoc. Riba published the novel Ena in 1987. His musical projects included collaborations with the group Pastora on the album Cosmossoma (1997) and with the Orchestra Fireluche on the album Ataràxia (2019). Riba published the book Història de l'univers in 2021. Riba died on March 6, 2022, in Tiana. Following his death, the Parliament of Catalonia awarded Riba the Medalla de Honor.
