Mother Jane was a hard rock band from Hannover, Germany, formed in 1994 by Klaus Hess. The initial lineup included Kai Schiering on bass and Jens Dettmer on drums. In 1998, they released the single “Together We Stand” (1998). The live album Comes Alive (2000) was recorded in Switzerland and included Klaus Henatsch on keyboards. In 2005, Jens Betjemann and Lucas Quentin joined the group. Their studio album, In Dreams (2009), was followed by the live albums Hungry4Live Part I (2010) and Hungry4Live Part II (2010). Discography releases include the album Turn the Page (2012). Mother Jane performed until the death of Betjemann in 2014. Hess died on October 31, 2025.
