The Ritual Aura, an Australian metal band from Perth, was formed in 2011 under the name Obscenium. Their music was characterized by its technical precision and futuristic melodies, often incorporating synthesizers and unconventional song structures. The group's early lineup underwent several changes before their first live performance in 2013. Adam Giangiordano joined as drummer, and Riley “Hexen” Panozzo transitioned to vocals. In 2014, Jamie Kay replaced Panozzo on vocals, and the band renamed itself The Ritual Aura. Their debut album Laniakea was released in 2015, followed by their second album Tæther in 2016. Subsequent releases include Velothi (2019) and Heresiarch (2023).
