Upchuck is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2018. The group initially consisted of guitarists Michael "Mikey" Durham and Alex "Hoff" Hoffman, bassist Armando Arrieta, and drummer Chris Salado, who began playing together in the city's skateboarding and DIY punk scene. They soon recruited vocalist Kaila "KT" Thompson to complete their lineup. They quickly gained a reputation for their explosive live shows and politically charged lyrics addressing issues of race, gender, and class. Musically, Upchuck blends hardcore punk energy with garage rock fuzz and touches of surf and psych influences. The band released their debut album Sense Yourself in September 2022 via Famous Class Records. Their second album, Bite the Hand That Feeds, followed in October 2023, produced by Ty Segall at his Harmonizer Studio in Los Angeles. Both albums were praised for their raw sound and urgency. Upchuck has since toured nationally, sharing stages with acts like Amyl & The Sniffers and OSEES, and are regarded as one of the rising voices of contemporary American punk. In July 2025, Upchuck announced their third studio album, I'm Nice Now, released on October 3, 2025, through Domino Recording Company.
