Pre_Shrunk, an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in March 1996, consisted of Justin Dwyer on drums and vocals, Dave Morris on bass guitar and vocals, and David "Davarj"/"Davage" Thomas on bass guitar and vocals. The group released their first EP, Exhibit [A], in March 1997, followed by Sudden Blinding Certainty in November of the same year. They gained national attention through appearances on ABC's Recovery and Triple J's Live at the Wireless. In 1999, they were nominated for Best Independent Release at the ARIA Music Awards for their EP Triple A Side (1998). Their debut studio album, Digital Sunrise, was released in 2000 and received another nomination in the same category at the ARIA Music Awards of 2001. The band released their second studio album, Bestseller, in January 2003. Thomas left the group in 2003, and Pre_Shrunk disbanded in late 2004.
