Shutterspeed was an Australian independent rock band formed in Brisbane in 1998, fronted by Andrew Petersen on lead vocals and guitar. The group released their first EP, Up Go the Shutters - Atmosphere In Here, in 1999, followed by another EP, Well That Ain't Something a Good Thing's Coming, in November of the same year. Their debut album, Hill Street Views, was released in September 2001 and included the single "Good Little Monkey". The band gained significant radio airplay with singles such as "Come Out Swingin'" (2002) and "Under Control" (2003). Their second album, Custom Made Hit Parade, was released in June 2003. Shutterspeed toured New Zealand later that year but disbanded by mid-2004. Following the split, Petersen continued his musical career through various solo and collaborative projects.
