This Saturday "Maxi y Darío" in Wilde cinema
Quiero 24 is a band that shifts from the most hilarious comedy to the most shameless lyrics. “Sean Eternos los Placeres”, its fourth album, consolidates the band´s position among the main exponents within the contemporary urban Tango. The band stands out for its unique musical style and lyrics that refer to social issues,in the way of Enrique Santos Discépolo. With songs like “Soy”, the band encourages the audience to reflect on diverse and conflicting social realities. Then, it tells you everyday stories in “Bar Notable”, “La Colectivera” and “A la Vera del Camino”, satirizes the most deeply-rooted Argentinian traditions in “Malandra” and reflects the absurd and superficial of humanity nowadays in “La Tierra Tiembla” and “Apagá”. The new album includes the collaboration of famous artists such as Daniel Melingo and Mavi Díaz, and some new generation performers like Sofía Viola, Ignacio Varchausky (Orquesta El Arranque) and Dema y Su Orquesta Petitera. The album´s production was in charge of Guido Iacopetti (Sexteto Fantasma), Pablo Hadida carried out the recording and RGS music performed the edition with its characteristic seal. Quiero 24 introduces a cutting-edge instrumental formation, including Guitar, Bass, Violin, Bandoneon and Percussion. The singer brings the “Tango Arrabalero” back to life by playingironically with the stereotypes of the tango showman and performing with a funny gesture of suburban cunning.
