Committed is an American a cappella group from Huntsville, Alabama. Therry Thomas, Dennis Baptiste, Geston Pierre, Robert Pressley, and Maurice Staple were all students at Oakwood University when they began singing together in 2003, inspired by another a cappella group that originated at the same institution, Take 6. Their breakthrough moment came with their participation in the musical competition The Sing-Off, where they won the second season on December 20, 2010, performing an a cappella arrangement of "We Are the Champions". Following their victory, Committed released their debut album Committed on Epic Records. Notable performances during The Sing-Off included covers such as "This Love", "Apologize", and "Every Breath You Take".
