American singer and actor, Justin Timberlake, was born in Memphis, Tennessee, U.S.A, on January 31, 1981. Known for being a member of teen pop group *NSYNC (1996-2002), the former host of the television show Mickey Mouse Club pursued a solo career in new generation R&B and urban pop, making his debut in 2002 with Justified, which included worldwide hits “Cry Me a River,” “Rock Your Body,” and "Señorita". This success, propelled him to major stardom, leading a performance at the halftime show of the Super Bowl with Janet Jackson and earning him his first two Grammy Awards (Best Male Pop Vocalist and Best Pop Album). In 2006, his next album FutureSex/LoveSounds saw him expand his musical style towards rap and neo-soul. The track "SexyBack" topped the Billboard chart for seven weeks, followed by "My Love," "What Goes Around... Comes Around" (with Timbaland) and “LoveStoned.” In 2013, his collaboration with Jay-Z, “Suit & Tie," preceded the release of the album The 20/20 Experience, which also included global hit “Mirrors.” A second volume, The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2, was released six months later along with a box set combining both projects. In 2010 Timberlake’s foray into acting began with The Social Network (2010), leading to a string of roles in other films including Friends with Benefits (2011), Inside Llewyn Davis (2013), and Trolls (2016), for which he performed one of the decade's biggest hits, "Can't Stop the Feeling," a worldwide Number 1 smash, earning him an Academy Award nomination as well as his 12th Grammy. In 2018, his fifth album Man of the Woods was released, featuring duets with Alicia Keys on "Morning Light" and Chris Stapleton on top 10 track "Say Something," which also charted globally. After new collaborations with Calvin Harris, Romeo Santos, SZA, Timbaland, and Jung Kook, his sixth record Everything I Thought It Was appeared on March 15, 2024, preceded by lead single "Selfish" which charted at number 19.
