FYA, a female R&B duo from West London, originally formed as a trio in Slough, England. The group consisted of Kezia Bennett, Tenza Foster, and Emma Nhamburo. They were discovered performing at a youth center in Slough and released their debut single "Boops '03" in November 2003, a cover of "Boops (Here to Go)" by Sly and Robbie. Following this release, FYA signed a six-album deal with Def Jam Recordings. Their breakthrough came with the single "Must Be Love", featuring guest vocals from Smujji, which peaked at Number 13 on the UK Singles Chart in March 2004. This success led to their inclusion in a BBC Radio 1 series highlighting new British music. FYA's subsequent single "Too Hot" did not match the chart performance of "Must Be Love", peaking at Number 49. After being dropped by Def Jam, they released their debut album For Your Attention through Jamdown in April 2005, which achieved gold certification in Japan. A second album, Feel the Heat, was released by Universal Music in 2007. Following Bennett's departure, Foster and Nhamburo continued to perform under the name Faya.
