Y Ffyrc is a UK musical group formed in 2006. The band's origins trace back to Mark Roberts, a Welsh rock musician who was initially known as a founding member of Y Cyrff and later co-founded Catatonia with Cerys Matthews and Paul Jones. After the split of Catatonia, Roberts worked as a record producer before forming Sherbet Antlers with Paul Jones, John Griffiths, and Kevs Ford from Llwybr Llaethog. By 2012, Roberts had formed The Earth, a Cardiff-based soul-inspired band featuring Dionne Bennett and Dafydd Ieuan. Y Ffyrc's debut album Oes was released in 2006.
