Nectar Abena Nyantekyewaa Woode, born in 1999 in Milton Keynes (Buckinghamshire), is an English singer, songwriter, composer, and producer of Ghanaian descent. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Creative Musicianship from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP), she moved to London, where she began performing at open mic nights, improv events, and with various bands. Her career officially began in 2021 with her collaboration on “Fear Leads Us On” alongside Mom Tudie and Eriksson Kaner, followed in 2022 by her first self-produced solo single , “For the Best.” In August 2023, she signed with Communion Records, through which she released the single “Good Vibrations, ” which racked up over a million streams in a month. In 2024, she released two EPs, Nothing to Lose and How It’s Gotta Be, which earned her significant media attention. Her third EP, It’s Like I Never Left, was inspired by her first trip to Ghana. Released in July 2025, it reached No. 4 on the UK jazz and blues charts. Following the release of the singles “Rivers End” and “Wine Into Water” —featuring Elton John on piano—Nectar Woode unveiled her debut album , *Naturally*, in June 2026.
