Rhumba Club is the alt-pop project of Jersey-born, London-based artist Tom Falle, blending analogue synths, disco grooves, and reflections on queer culture. Inspired by Patrick Cowley, Pet Shop Boys and Talking Heads, Rhumba Club makes music that is both deeply personal and dancefloor-ready—where social norms and personal demons are left at the door, whilst beautiful weirdos take centre stage.
Since releasing his debut Welcome to the Rhumba Club, Falle has earned support from BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 6, GQ, Attitude, The Line of Best Fit, The Fader, Wonderland and Clash, while also creating music for Hermès, Fendi and Adidas. His 2023 follow-up Love Apokalypto spawned the alt-summer classic Beach Lizard and 6Music favourite Perfect Queen, cementing him as a vital queer disco voice.
On stage, Rhumba Club has toured Europe, sharing bills with Molchat Doma, IDLES, Will Butler + Sister Squares and Miel De Montagne., fusing euphoric queer disco with the controlled mania of Future Islands, galvanising a devoted community of “Clubbers” .
Now entering a bold new chapter, his forthcoming album HONCHO (15th October) features Italians Do It Better signees Juno Francis and Animal/Lover, a duet with Patrick Wolf—Wolf’s first-ever feature on another artist’s record. Recently, acclaimed Czech filmmaker David Ondříček cast Falle and his single Talk Me Into It in the climactic scenes of his upcoming film.
