Future Pigeon are an American punk and dub band from Los Angeles, California, active during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The ensemble includes Eddie Rucha on bass and Danny Preston on keyboards, alongside various instrumentalists. The group performed with artists such as Smokey Hormel, Hank Williams III, and Elliott Smith, including a performance at Smith's memorial concert. The band recorded a dub version of the song “Waltz No. 2 (XO)” for the short film Strange Parallel and appeared in the movie Southlander, featuring Beth Orton as a fictionalized lead vocalist. In September 2007, the track “Evil” was featured in the television series Weeds, subsequently appearing on the iTunes most downloaded list. Their song “Gift Tax” was included in the video game Tony Hawk's Proving Ground. Following the group’s activity, Preston began performing in the duo Rainbow Arabia.
