Michael Morton is a Toronto, Ontario-based electronic musician recording under the solo project name Displacer. His debut recording was the track "Deep" (2003), which appeared on the Mute Records compilation Pre-Set New Electronic Music. He subsequently signed with the Paris-based label M-Tronic Records, releasing the albums Moon_Phase (2003), Arroyo (2004), and Cage Fighter's Lullaby (2006). In 2008, he joined the Chicago-based label Tympanik Audio, issuing the albums The Witching Hour (2008), X Was Never Like This... (2009), and Night Gallery (2011), followed by Foundation (2012). He also founded his own label, The Crime League, through which he released Electric Dreams (2014) and Curse of the Black Vinyl (2016). Morton remixed works for artists including Claire Voyant, Architect, and Converter.
