Acid Storm, a Brazilian thrash-metal band from São Paulo, was founded in 1986 under the name Exterminator. The group underwent a significant change in 1989 when they adopted the name Acid Storm and welcomed Robson Goulart as their new vocalist. Alongside Chico Comelli on bass, the band released their first EP, Why? Dirty War, that same year. In 1991, Acid Storm released their debut album, Biotronic Genesis, featuring Mario Pastore on vocals. Pastore left the band shortly after, leading to Goulart's return in 1992. However, Goulart departed permanently in 1995, and Pastore rejoined the group. Throughout the following years, Acid Storm recorded several demos, including No Man's Land (1994) and Twilight Zone (1997), while experiencing frequent lineup changes.
