Raïna Raï is an Algerian raï band from Sidi Bel Abbès, formed in December 1980 in Paris by Tarik Naïmi Chikhi, Kaddour Bouchentouf, Lotfi Attar, and Hachemi Djellouli. The group made their debut at a support concert for Radio Soleil and released their debut album, Raïna Raï, in 1982. This was followed by the albums Hagda (1983) and Rana Hna (1985). After disbanding in the early 1990s, the group re-formed in 2011, and their discography includes the albums Mama (1988), Zaama (1993), and Bye Bye (2001). Their songs, which include “Zina” and “Hagda”, featured in films such as Tchao Pantin (1983) and Mektoub, My Love: canto uno (2017), establishing their status in modern raï music.
