Dennis Dreith (born June 15, 1948) is an American jazz, R&B, and film music composer, arranger, conductor, and woodwind player from Glendale, California. Dreith learned keyboard and reed instruments as a teenager and performed woodwinds on tours with Paul Revere & the Raiders and The Beach Boys during college. Dreith performed on The Beach Boys album 15 Big Ones (1976), receiving an RIAA Gold Record. Dreith composed film scores including Purple People Eater (1988) and The Punisher (1989). Dreith served as an orchestrator and conductor for soundtracks including Jurassic Park (1993), Misery (1990), and Braveheart (1995), collaborating with composers John Williams and Hans Zimmer. Dreith arranged and produced tracks for The O'Jays album Home for Christmas (1986). Dreith served as president of the Recording Musicians Association for over 15 years and co-founded Transparence Entertainment Group in 2017. Dreith performs with a 17-piece jazz ensemble.
