Ho-Ag was an experimental noise rock band formed in 2001 in Boston, Massachusetts and consisted of guitarists Matt Parish and Patrick Kim, bassist Dave Dines, and drummer Jon Ruhe. Their debut EP, People Coming Back in Time, was self-released in October 2002. Ho-Ag's first album, Ho-Ag Equals Go At, followed in 2003 on Mister Records. The band underwent lineup changes, with Eric Meyer replacing Ruhe and Tyler Derryberry joining as a keyboardist. Their second EP Pray for the Worms was released in 2005. After a tour that saw Nicholas Ward replace Dines on bass, Ho-Ag recorded their second album, The Word from Pluto, which was released on Hello Sir Records in 2006. The group continued with self-released EP Elektro in 2007 and their third album Doctor Cowboy in May 2008.
