Hateform, a Finnish death metal band from Turku, was formed in April 2004 by guitarist Tomy Laisto, bassist Joni Suodenjärvi, and drummer Tuomas Vähämaa. Vocalist Petri Nyström joined shortly after, and the band played their debut show in June of that year. Their self-titled demo in 2005 gained attention from smaller labels, and their second demo, Retaliate, was released in 2006. In September 2007, Hateform signed with 7:45 Records and released their debut album, Dominance. Their second album, Origins of Plague, was recorded in early 2010 and released on October 6th. In August 2011, the band signed with Spinefarm Records. Hateform's third album, Sanctuary in Abyss, was released in 2013.
