Y ARA (ee-ara) is an indie pop duo from Davao City, Philippines.

Composed of Gillian Aquino and Jhay Ehidio, the duo began collaborating on a couple of Christmas songs back in 2015. They officially started Y ARA on September 2017 and released their first official single called “Be The One” on May 2019. The track then made it to Taiwan Viral 50 on Spotify and several iTunes top charts across Southeast Asia.

Fusing their love for synth pop, indie rock, and mainstream pop with their inclination to writing heartfelt lyrics, the duo went on to release several more singles culminating in the release of their debut album called “Space & Time” on February 29, 2020. They currently have a total of more than 3 million streams across all digital platforms.
