The Japanese idol group Lovely DOLL was formed in 2011 by the Arc Jewel agency. The group initially consisted of members who had undergone training, including some former members of AKB48. Their debut single "Go!! My Wish!! / Love & Peace" was released in May 2012, followed by a national release in August with an additional track. In February 2013, their second single "Bitter Choco Valentine" reached number 24 on the Oricon charts, and their third single "Paradise in the Summer" peaked at number 10 in June of the same year. The group's first album Doll Collection 1 was released in August 2013, compiling their initial four singles. In April 2014, Lovely DOLL made their major debut with the single "High Jump!!" under Nippon Crown. Throughout their career, they have released notable EPs such as セツナツ、ダイバー (2014) and albums like DOLL COLLECTION ll (2016). The group has undergone several lineup changes, including the departure of members due to health issues or personal pursuits. Notable members include Miyu Aisako and Yuriko Sano, both former AKB48 trainees. Lovely DOLL continues to be active in the Japanese music scene, releasing the EP Passion for Life in November 2021.
