Antônio Augusto Moraes Liberato, known professionally as Gugu Liberato, and born on April 10, 1959, in São Paulo, Brazil, was a television presenter, actor, and singer. He began his career at age 14 as a production assistant for Domingo no Parque, presented by Silvio Santos on SBT. Liberato's breakthrough came in 1982 when he co-hosted the Saturday night show Viva a Noite. His first music releases included Gugu (1983), Gugu Liberato (1985), and Viva a Noite (1989). He also launched Brazilian musical groups like Dominó and Polegar, becoming a successful businessman. Liberato's career spanned various television programs, including Domingo Legal, which competed with Domingão do Faustão. On November 20, 2019, Liberato suffered an accident at his home in Windermere, Greater Orlando, and passed away on November 21, 2019.
