Ric Manrique was a Filipino singer and member of the Mabuhay Singers born in 1941. Born Ricardo Manrique Jr., he was known as a "King of Kundiman" for his performances of traditional Filipino folk music. He began his professional career in the 1950s with the Mabuhay Singers before signing with Villar Records in the early 1960s. Manrique achieved recognition for the 1965 song “Ang Daigdig Ko'y Ikaw”, which served as the theme for the film of the same name starring Fernando Poe Jr. and Susan Roces. He performed the track as a duet with Pilita Corrales. His subsequent recordings included the albums Kundiman (1997) and Ric Manrique Jr. Sings Ilocano Songs (2009). Manrique died in 2017.
