Kimberly Scott, born in 1986 in Landover, Maryland, is an American singer known for her contributions to contemporary R&B and soul music. She began performing publicly at the age of five and quickly gained recognition by winning amateur-night contests five times at the Apollo Theater. Her breakthrough came when she opened for the R&B group Immature, leading to a record deal at just eleven years old. In early 1998, Kimberly Scott released her first single "Tuck Me In", which peaked at Number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Number 21 on Billboard's Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. Her self-titled debut album, released by Columbia Records in 1998, reached Number 95 on Billboard's Top R&B\Hip-Hop Albums chart. In 1997, she collaborated with Taiwanese singer Harlem Yu on a remake of Barbara Mason's classic song "Yes, I'm Ready", included in Harlem Yu's English cover album Harlem Music Television. Scott released her second album Y'all Ain't Ready in 2002 through the independent label The Cipher. As of 2010, Kimberly Scott began residing in Washington, DC with her twin sons and is a Lead Mic of the band Love District. She has also established her own label, K.I.M. Productions.
