Les Sunlights was a French ensemble formed in 1961 in Roubaix. The group was established by brothers Serge, Aldo, and Bruno Cogoni, and later included Jean-Paul Van Houtte and Tony Menteaux. Formed under the name I Cogini, the band performed Italian songs before accompanying Gene Vincent on a tour in 1963. The trio composed the recording “Les malheurs de Sylvie” for the radio station Europe 1. In 1966, the ensemble transitioned to French chanson and released the studio recording Les Sunlights. The group's discography included recordings of “Le Déserteur” (1966) and Berthe Sylva’s “Les roses blanches” (1966). The band released over 30 singles and EPs before becoming inactive in 1973. A compilation titled Tous les tubes appeared in 2003. Bruno Cogoni died on September 30, 2007. Serge Cogoni died on February 3, 2022.
