Benny Blanco

Known as a producer, Benny Blanco (born Benjamin Joseph Levin in Reston, Virginia, U.S., on March 8, 1988) was still a teenager when he collaborated with Spank Rock on Spank Rock and Benny Blanco Are... Bangers & Cash (2007), before signing or producing numerous hits for Rihanna, Katy Perry (“I Kissed a Girl”), Britney Spears, Maroon 5 (“Moves Like Jagger”), Ed Sheeran, Madonna, Kesha (“Tik Tok”), Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Major Lazer, Passion Pit, and country singer Keith Urban. In 2018, he joined Kanye West for the Wyoming Sessions and contributed to the albums Ye and Kids See Ghosts, the latter produced with Kid Cudi. That same year, he launched a solo career with “Eastside,” recorded with Halsey and Khalid. The track reached number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and appears on his debut album, Friends Keep Secrets, which also features collaborations with Calvin Harris, Juice WRLD, Brendon Urie, and Swae Lee. In 2019, Benny Blanco reunited with Selena Gomez alongside J Balvin and Tainy on “I Can’t Get Enough .” He then collaborated with Justin Bieber on “Lonely” in 2020, before completing his first project with Friends Keep Secrets 2 in 2021, which also includes tracks recorded with Gracie Abrams, 6 Dogs, and Vance Joy. In 2022, “Bad Decisions,” featuring BTS and Snoop Dogg, reached number ten on the Billboard Hot 100, and in 2023, Blanco collaborated posthumously with Juice WRLD alongside Eminem on “Lace It.” He shifted his focus more toward Latin music with “Degenere,” recorded with Myke Towers in 2024, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart in 2025. That same year, he released the collaborative album I Said I Love You First with Selena Gomez, featuring standout tracks such as “Scared of Loving You,” “Call Me When You Break Up” with Gracie Abrams, and “Sunset Blvd.” Released in March, the album reached number two on the Billboard 200 and was later followed by an expanded edition, I Said I Love You First... And You Said It Back. The track “Bluest Flame” also earned the duo a Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance/Pop Performance in 2026. At the same time, Benny Blanco continued his exploration of Latin American music with “Joven y Salvaje,” recorded with Bb trickz, followed by “Te Olvido (La La)” featuring Selena Gomez and Becky G. On August 14, 2026, he released Hermoso, his first album entirely dedicated to music in Spanish. Comprising eight tracks, the project features Myke Towers, Mora, Ovy on the Drums, The Marías, Netón Vega, Becky G, Selena Gomez, and Bb trickz, and explores various genres of Latin pop, reggaeton, cumbia, and regional Mexican music.
