Timothy Kenneth Rogers, known professionally as Jack Ladder, was born on April 6, 1983, in Australia. He is a singer and songwriter recognized for his baritone voice and poignant observations on love and death. Ladder's music career began in 2005 with the release of his debut album Not Worth Waiting For. His second album, Love Is Gone, was released in 2008. In 2011, Ladder released Hurtsville with his backing band The Dreamlanders, which was nominated for the Australian Music Prize and other awards. The lead single "Cold Feet" from this album was named "Song of the Year" by Mess+Noise. He has performed extensively throughout Australia and internationally, appearing at festivals such as Laneway and Peats Ridge, and sharing stages with artists including John Cale and The Horrors.
