Mariha, born Eva Maria Meyer on 13 September 1981 in Münster, Germany, is a German actress and singer-songwriter. After early training in acting and music, she released the single "It Hurts" on 10 February 2006, followed by her debut album Elementary Seeking on 3 March 2006, which featured the single "Absolutely Entertaining" that served as the title track for the film Barfuss. In 2007, she collaborated with the band Marquess on the single "Todo Bien, Mariha". Mariha signed with Columbia Berlin in 2009, issuing the album Another Lover on 31 August 2009, where she explored themes of interpersonal relationships; the album was produced by Ralf Christian Mayer. That year she also released the singles "Heart Keeps Beating" (18 May 2009) and "Take The Long Way Home" (31 August 2009) and performed as an opening act for Suzanne Vega’s German tour in June/July. In October 2021, she issued the EP Empört, comprising five tracks.
