DJ Cam is - almost - a man in the shadows. Little known to the general public, he is both one of the world's sources of abstract hip-hop and one of the precursors of the French touch. Substances is a cornerstone for anyone wishing to understand the evolution of electronic music since 1996, and Loa Project in 2000 is a declaration of love set against a backdrop of voodoo rhythms. As a DJ, our man is equally adept at selections and remixes, as evidenced by Mad Blunted Jazz (1996), DJ Kicks (1997) and Revisited By (2005). Based in Los Angeles, DJ Cam released his album Seven in October 2011.
