Mike Fuller is a singer & songwriter from Hamilton, NJ, living in Pompano Beach, FL.
He carefully blends diverse musical interests—from The Beatles to Sam Cooke to John Mayer and tons in between—to create his refreshing yet timeless sound. The recipe can be best described as equal parts Americana, rock, folk, and soul.
Fuller’s latest release, The Missed Connection EP, came together after a few months of recording in Brooklyn, NY in early 2021. Fuller was joined by Jordan Rose on drums (Maggie Rogers, Theo Katzman, Cory Wong) and Andy Hess on bass (The Black Crowes, Gov’t Mule) to complete the project.
Collectively, these songs showcase a coming-of-age journey through distance and time, detailing romantic entanglements and trials and tribulations.
If his debut release, The Human Condition EP, was a mellow, sensory declaration, then The Missed Connection EP is an emotional breakout. With Rose and Hess, Fuller brought the attitude and melody of blues rock to the dance floor. This trio of songs shares the explosiveness of sound akin to Gary Clark Jr., John Mayer Trio, and Theo Katzman, but they’re all Mike Fuller.
Fuller’s rock and roll roots run deep. As the son of a church organist and a cover band singer/rock and roll enthusiast, it seems only natural that Fuller would follow the musical path laid by his parents and find himself writing a collection of up-tempo, foot-stomping tunes.
Fuller began performing music regularly in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic by creating an Instagram Live charity fundraiser concert series cheekily titled, “Quarantunes.” Through this forum, he raised over $3,500 for various NYC charities and shared virtual stages with artists like Robert Randolph, Ryan Montbleau, Oliver Bates Craven (Sierra Ferrell, The Stray Birds), Danny Black (Gregory Alan Isakov, Good Old War), Katie Toupin (Houndmouth), and Andrew Michael Burri (Lucius), among many others. As venues began reopening, he formed a 5-piece band and performed his music at NYC venues like Rockwood Music Hall, Arlene's Grocery, Knitting Factory, and Bowery Electric.
Since 2020, he's written and released two EPs and one LP and is working on a second LP tentatively scheduled for release in 2025.
