Jennifer and Hazel Wrigley, twin sisters born on 16 August 1974 in Orkney, Scotland, are a folk duo known for their instrumental skills on fiddle (Jennifer) and guitar/piano (Hazel). They began playing music at age eight and joined the Orkney Strathspey and Reel Society soon after. Their breakthrough came with Dancing Fingers, an album recorded between ages 13 and 16 and released in 1991, which propelled them into the UK folk circuit. In 1994, they moved to Edinburgh and fronted a six-piece band called Seelyhoo. Jennifer won the BBC Young Tradition Award in 1997, boosting their international reputation. They organized world tours in 1997 and 1999, issuing notable albums such as Huldreland (1997) and Skyran (2001). In 2005, they returned to Orkney and launched The Reel, a music/social center.
