Kim Ryeong-hwa, known professionally as Sleeq, was born on July 4, 1991, in Republic of Korea. She began her career in 2011 with the underground crew We Make History, gaining recognition for her classical style and skills as an MC. Her breakthrough came with her second single "Youth" released that same year. In 2013, Sleeq was selected by Jerry.K to join Rico in forming the new music company Daze Alive. She debuted with Daze Alive in 2014 with the single "Rap Tight." Notable collaborations include working with Jerry.K on tracks such as "Higher" and contributing to Shin Zisu's debut song "Hey Jude." Sleeq released her first album Colossus in June 2016, followed by Fommy Hiltiger in January 2017. Her third album, Life Minus F is Lie, was released in May 2018. In 2017, she won the Underrated Album of the Year award at the Korean Hip Hop Awards for Colossus.
