The Saturnine, a Dutch gothic metal band, was formed in 2003 in the Netherlands by drummer Dennis Leeflang, guitarist and songwriter Eric Hazebroek, and bassist Douwe de Wilde. Their early efforts included recording an EP titled Within Without in 2004. However, the band faced several lineup changes, including the departure of Leeflang later that year. Despite these challenges, The Saturnine continued to perform shows with bands like Katatonia. In 2014, after various member changes and recording sessions on both sides of the Atlantic, they released their debut full-length album The I in Every Storm.
