The Aim of Design Is to Define Space, often shortened to 'Aim', is a German rock band from Erkner, Gosen, and Berlin-Hellersdorf in Brandenburg. Their music addresses themes of poverty and alcoholism in these regions, blending various rock styles. Formed in the early 2000s, The Aim of Design Is to Define Space released their first EP, Gosen U Can Rave II, in 2003 under the Berlin label R.O.T. Their second album, Aim of Design Good Time (originally titled Gosen gibt Gas), was released in October 2005 through Hobby Deluxe and distributed by Indigo. The band's subsequent album, Aimthusiasm, came out on February 22, 2008, under the independent label Haute Areal.
