Fabien Sevilla, born on December 27, 1971, in Vevey, Switzerland, is a double bass player known for his contributions to jazz. He studied at the Conservatoire de Jazz in Montreux and later at the New School Jazz in New York under instructors like Reginald Workman and Buster Williams. Sevilla's early career included performances with notable figures such as Jérôme Berney and Malcolm Braff in Switzerland, and Kyoko Kitamura and Andy Milne in the United States. Sevilla began solo performances in 2009, releasing his debut album Kôans – Contrebasse Solo in 2010. He followed this with Expansion in 2013. Throughout his career, Sevilla has collaborated on various projects, including the trio Format A’3 with Thierry Romanens and Jérôme Berney, and contributed to dance and film scores such as the music for Jean Choux's silent film La Vocation d’André Carel.
