The Barstool Prophets were a Canadian rock band formed in Cornwall, Ontario, in 1989. The group initially released their first album, Deflowered, independently in 1992, establishing a solid fan base. In 1995, they signed with Mercury Records and released Crank, which produced two top 10 hit singles in Canada: "Mankindman" and "Paranoia." Their third album, Last of the Big Game Hunters, was released in 1997. After extensive touring and internal turmoil, the band disbanded in 1999. The Barstool Prophets reunited for concerts in Ottawa between 2015 and 2018 to celebrate the anniversary of their first album release.
